In 1973, at the hands of Cvne and the family that owns the estate, Contino was born, considered the first château in Rioja. Its vineyards form a set around an old manor house in a meander of the Ebro. This wine is obtained only from the vineyards planted on its 62 hectares located in Laserna, Laguardia (Rioja Alavesa). It is broad, tasty and with a long aftertaste. A classic among the classics, Contino Reserva is one of those wines that needs little presentation. It comes from grapes selected by hand at the Finca de San Rafael which, after destemming, fermented in tanks. stainless steel. Afterwards, the wine was taken to used French and American oak barrels, where it rested for two years. Before its commercialization, it finished being refined for a year in the bottle to end up giving us a delicate ruby color with tinged edges and an exceptional nose of red fruits and vanilla. Its mouth is warm, silky and harmonious, as befits a wine of its category. The intense aromas of the fruit are mixed with the toasted and spicy aromas of the barrel in a wide and tasty set. Round and balanced aftertaste.
